Ginggay Hontiveros is the First Vice President and Chief Reputation and Sustainability Officer of Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc., where she oversees Brand, Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Sustainability & CSR programs. She leads the company’s sustainability agenda and oversees the One Aboitiz sustainability framework unifying the group’s strategic business units in addressing ESG issues. She is concurrently the President of Aboitiz Foundation, the group’s corporate social responsibility arm, where she leads the social impact programs and policy reform agenda across the organization. Her corporate role includes overseeing executive brand and communications for the Aboitiz Group CEO, and is also communications lead for the Philippines’ Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC), an advisory group to the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

Ginggay serves as Board Trustee for the following organizations : UN Global Compact Network Philippines (GCNP), the Association of Philippine Foundations Inc. (AF), and the Philippine Council for NGO Certification Inc. (PCNC). She is also the lead organizer for Carbon PH Coalition, a group of like minded companies and organizations advocating for greater investments in nature based solutions and policy development for lower carbon economies. She also serves as the group’s official representative to the DENR’s TWG on the Verde Island Passages (VIP) conservation program, is a member of the TWG of the National Blue Carbon Action Partnership (NBCAP) of the Philippines, and Aboitiz’s representative to Nature Based Solutions (NBS), a private sector group that weighs in on carbon policy development for the country.

Ginggay is also a published author, penning feature articles at the Daily Tribune’s ‘On the G(ood) Side, dedicated to the discussion and exploration of various sustainability and social impact topics.

She has over 30 years experience in senior management of corporates such as Benguet Corporation, Meralco Group, Lapanday Group, as well extensive project management and stakeholder engagement expertise in the development sector through the Philippine Center Entrepreneurship Foundation and RTR Foundation (Tacloban Leyte). Ginggay graduated from the Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in Bachelor of Science Major in Legal Management, and recently completed the Swedish Institute’s Global Executive Programme for Leadership in Sustainability.

Harris Guevarra is the President and CEO of Drink Sustainability Communications, a leading consulting and creative agency helping some of the biggest corporations in the Philippines and Southeast Asia with their business sustainability strategy and communication. Harris holds a master’s in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Design from Brunel University London where he graduated with distinction in 2023. He was also chosen as a Young Founders Fellow of the Westerwelle Foundation in Berlin in 2018.

In 2024, he founded Basecheck Carbon Management Services, which aims to help Philippine companies and organizations manage their greenhouse gas emissions and align their business strategies to the Net Zero agenda of the country.

Ping Manongdo is the founder of Nexus Sustainability, a knowledge and convening platform dedicated to fostering sustainable business transformation. By making complex climate and sustainability issues more relatable and actionable, Ping aims to equip small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines with the pragmatic learning and strategic partnerships they need to thrive in a future defined by both climate risks and opportunities.

Ping also leads strategic partnerships for the Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx), a regional, membership-based platform that helps businesses plan, fund, and implement their low-carbon transition strategies through partnerships and practical insights.

With over 20 years of professional experience, Ping specializes in organizing stakeholder engagement conferences and dialogues that inspire action. Widely regarded in the Philippines as a thought leader, she is known for her exemplary skill in leading conversations in the nexus of policy, finance, and innovation.

Ping is pursuing her MPA in Climate Innovation and Sustainability Policy at the University College London as an awardee of the UK government’s prestigious Chevening scholarship. She was a United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Fellow (2018), a Thomson Reuters–Global Reporting Initiative Fellow (2019), and a scholar on governance for sustainable development with the North Rhine-Westphalia government and the United Nations (2023).

Vickie Tan is the Chairperson of the Global Compact Network Philippines and is the Executive Director of Ayala Corporation’s Group Sustainability and Risk Management Unit. She established the Group’s integrated reporting process and helped steer sustainability programs. She was instrumental in developing Ayala’s commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and played a key role in building its groupwide forest and biodiversity protection initiative. Currently, she is engaging external stakeholders to support Ayala’s sustainability commitments. A recognized leader in corporate sustainability and risk, she has earned multiple Asia-Pacific awards for her pioneering work.

James Andrew Moore

James Andrew Moore is the CEO of Azolla Climate Co., Ltd., a pioneering decarbonization company that leverages data, technology, and AI to enable decarbonization through strategy, finance & climate action. In addition to strategy and sustainable finance, Azolla Climate specializes in developing large-scale carbon projects for governments and multinational corporations across Southeast Asia.

He is an active committee member of RE100 Thailand and Renewable Energy Industry Club of the Federation of Thai Industries. Before his tenure at Azolla Climate, he served as the CEO of a Publicly Listed Company in Thailand, where he played a pivotal role in identifying and developing new growth areas for the group. He also led a subsidiary which was a comprehensive carbon credit business.

With over a decade of experience in management consulting, including positions at Deloitte Digital Australia and PricewaterhouseCoopers Thailand, James was among the early sustainability experts to develop strategies for SET50 companies in Thailand. His keen insights into global carbon market trends enabled him to foresee potential carbon credit supply shortages, which could undermine the competitiveness of Southeast Asia’s private sector. In response, he spearheaded a carbon credits trading company, which became a trailblazer in large-scale carbon credit initiatives in the region.

These efforts culminated in his company receiving the ‘Sustainability Energy Technology Asia Award’ in 2024 for being the most comprehensive climate solutions company in Thailand. James is a well-respected figure in the industry and works closely with the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO) to drive the development of carbon credit projects and advance Thailand toward its climate goals.

Sustainability covers a wide range of interconnected topics—and in the Philippines, we must balance a fast-growing economy with climate action, circularity, and social equity to help ensure inclusive growth. Roel S. Espiritu is the Head of the Quality, Sustainability and Resiliency (QSR) Division of Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad). Leads Maynilad’s team on quality management systems, quality assurance, water and wastewater regulatory compliance, environmental management programs, occupational safety and health, sustainability, business continuity, resiliency, facilities and fleet. He is also the Maynilad’s Chief Sustainability Officer.

More than 30 years of experience in human resources, business operations, sustainability and regulatory compliance. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Maynilad’s Head for Administration and Labor Relations (2008-2012) and Business Area Head (2012-2017).

He has represented Maynilad in various fora and conferences either as speaker or panelist on the following topics: labor standards and relations, decent jobs, green jobs, delivering water services to the urban poor, sanitation, sustainability, climate change, business continuity resiliency and watershed management.

Carmela (Mia) Andal-Castro is a lawyer and development professional with more than twenty years of experience in the field of social development, women and children’s rights and philanthropy. Previously she led Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation as its Managing Director, as well as the Manila field office of human rights agency International Justice Mission. In 2016, she received The Outstanding Young Men and Women (TOYM) Award for her contributions to society in the field of law and child protection.

Josef’s early career began in sport and music, but his passion for creating real impact led to a shift to the startup world. Prior to building Humble, Josef first moved to Southeast Asia in 2012, when he worked closely with global CEOs and government officials to promote investment into emerging markets. In 2017, he was appointed as managing director of Penbrothers, another impactful startup building remote teams for tech businesses all over the world. Under his leadership, Penbrothers was named the fastest growing company in the Philippines for 3 years from 2019 to 2022. Josef then stepped away from Penbrothers to build Humble, the leading climate technology company in the Philippines, where he serves as co-founder and CEO. Humble is disrupting how businesses handle their IT equipment, preventing e-waste ending up in landfills and working closely with corporates and the government to help them achieve their ESG objectives. Humble was recently backed by Gobi, the Philippines government and ADB.

Ma. Katreena Pillejera, a licensed chemical engineer, currently serves as the Country Manager for the Philippines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Katreena has a decade of experience working with the academe, NGO, corporate top management, and government focused on sustainability program design and implementation. She has substantial experience on sustainability reporting and consulting where she lead the end-to-end development of sustainability reports across various sectors. She has technical expertise on GHG inventory and management, carbon sequestration and stock assessment, plastic neutrality and waste diversion credit mechanism development, and climate and energy studies.

Katreena is a double Master’s Degree holder: one in Energy Engineering which she earned from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, with a sandwich program in National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan; and one in Public Management from the Ateneo School of Government, showcasing her innovative study focused on climate-related loss and damage in vulnerable provinces in the Philippines. For her volunteering work, she stood to be one of the Founding Board members of the Reboot Renewable Energy Transition Institute (REBoot PH) and has been its Climate and Energy Literacy Director in 2021. She is also part of the Women Energy Leaders program funded by the US Energy Association, U.S. Department of State Bureau of Energy Resources’ Power Sector Program and the U.S. Gender Equity and Equality Action Fund.

Atty. Mara Louise A. Ruiz

Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

Atty. Mara Louise A. Ruiz serves as the Chief Counsel of the Corporate Governance and Finance Department at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Philippines. She has played a pivotal role in enhancing sustainability reporting practices for publicly-listed companies, including the revision of the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines and the development of the Sustainability Reporting (SuRe) Form. Notably, she is spearheading the SEC’s series of sustainability roadshows for Small, Medium, and Large Enterprises in the Philippines in major provinces in the Philippines.

Mara represents the SEC at various international conferences. Notably, she was a speaker at the recent UN Development Programme’s Workshop on Strengthening Regional Partnerships for Climate Transition in Thailand. Further, she contributes to initiatives such as the ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) and has presented at the ACMF Chairs meetings in Cambodia and Indonesia, the ACMF-ISSB Conference in Singapore and the 40th session of the International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.

Mara and her team’s efforts in capacity building on sustainability reporting contributed to the SEC Philippines receiving the United Nations’ International Standards of Accounting and Reporting (ISAR) Honours 2022 and ISAR Honours 2024. Her contributions to corporate governance initiatives also contributed to the SEC receiving several prestigious awards, including the Cambridge IFA’s 3G Advocacy and Commitment to Corporate Governance Award in 2021 in Dubai, the 3G Advocacy and Commitment to Corporate Governance Award 2022, the 3G Transparency Award 2022, and the 3G Advocacy and Commitment to Corporate Governance Award 2023, the 3G Best Corporate Governance Policy and Disclosure Award, and the 3G Transparency Award 2024

Prior to her role as Chief Counsel, Mara served as a professor of environmental law at the University of Makati School of Law. She also practiced corporate law as an associate at Puno and Puno Law Offices, a prominent energy law firm in the Philippines.

Mara holds a Juris Doctor from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law with Second Honors and a degree in BS Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman. She has presented research at the Stanford University Psychology Conference in the U.S.A and was an AIESEC exchange student at the University of Palermo in Italy.

Financial institutions have begun innovating their business models to support sustainable development initiatives, addressing urgent funding gaps through green loans and climate financing. This panel explores how sustainable financing has grown, and how current challenges such as cost barriers, policy uncertainty, risk perception, and scalability can be overcome to ensure continuous accessibility where it’s needed most.

With over 20 years of experience in assurance and business advisory services for publicly listed, private, and multinational companies across various industries, he has led numerous engagements on sustainability and integrated reports, plastic footprint and diversion reports, and GHG emissions. Priya is an entrepreneur, investor and gender advocate working across South and Southeast Asia. She is the co-founder and CEO of Villgro Philippines, an early stage impact incubator that funds, mentors and nurtures social entrepreneurs. She also co-founded Unlock Impact, a social impact advisory firm focused on scaling inclusive solutions that tackle gender and climate across the Asia Pacific. Priya is the Chair of the ANDE East and Southeast Asia Steering Committee and a member of the ANDE Global Advisory Committee. She is the host of the podcast Talk Impact, a show for and about leaders at the frontlines of social change in Asia. Priya is a passionate advocate for gender equity with a focus on unlocking capital to fuel ambitious women entrepreneurs. She co-founded and runs the Nüshu Network, an award winning platform for women entrepreneurs across Asia to connect to capital, coaching and community with 600+ members. In 2020, she was recognized as a Youth Gender Champion by the UN Women WEPs Awards and awarded the UN Women WEPs Awards for Innovative Financing in 2024.

Mr. Del Rosario is a Bank Officer V at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) currently assigned with ESG Supervision and Surveillance Group (ESSG). He has been with the BSP since 2007. Among his responsibilities at the ESSG include the development of sustainable finance policies for Philippine banks as well as policy surveillance. He also has extensive experience in bank supervision and policy development following his previous assignments at the Philippine central bank.

Mr. Del Rosario has also represented the BSP in various local and regional working groups and committees, such as the ASEAN Working Committee on Capital Market Development (WC-CMD), ASEAN Capital Markets Forum (ACMF) and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion – Inclusive Green Finance Working Group (AFI-IGFWG). As a member of the ASEAN Taxonomy Board (ATB) Working Group 1 since 2021, Mr. Del Rosario was involved in the development of the ASEAN Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance, particularly the Foundation Framework approach as well as the technical screening criteria for the Real Estate & Construction, Agricultural, Forestry and Fishing, as well as Water and Waste Management sectors under the Plus Standard approach. On the local front, he is also part of the Sustainable Finance TWG of the Financial Sector Forum (FSF) that developed the Philippine Sustainable Finance Taxonomy Guidelines (SFTG).

A Certified Public Accountant by profession, Mr. Del Rosario obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Santo Tomas and his Master in Public Management – Major in Public Policy and Program Administration degree from the University of the Philippines Open University.

Ceejay Hernandez

Ceejay has been working within the ESG and sustainability space for over 9 years. He currently works at HSBC Philippines as the country Head of Sustainability. The role entails him to work across key departments and help strategize and implement the sustainability and climate strategy.

Closely working with the business, Ceejay provides support and insight to enable sustainable finance strategies as well as provide feedback in partnership with Risk and Compliance to ongoing policy developments and external engagements with key stakeholders in relation to sustainability.

He also works on creating partnerships and collaborations internally and externally to push forward HSBC’s key sustainability priorities in the Philippines.

Prior to his current role, he worked as one of the head for S&P Global Philippines’ Sustainable1 ESG research teams – focusing on developing ESG methodology, increasing regional participation and ensuring quality of data analysis underpinning the S&P ESG scores.

Outside of HSBC, Ceejay works as an independent consultant to various organizations such as the UNDP through the WeSolve Foundation around sustainability, policy development and sustainable finance. He recently led the work on the development the Philippines SDG Investment Mapping Platform. He also contributed on studies regarding Biodiversity Finance development, Nature-based solution and carbon policies.
